The communities located along the Pere Marquette River offer fun events and festivals that have something for everyone. From festivals to fishing tournaments, there’s fun for all.

Scottville Fall Celebration

The Scottville Harvest Festival and Scottville Summer Fest have blended into one event that takes place in September. The festival’s new name is Scottville Fall Celebration. There are many great events during the festival including the Miss Mason County Pageant, Rubber Ducky Race, Car Show, and more!

Troutarama

Since 1957, thousands of people have annually met in Baldwin every July to enjoy themselves at the Troutarama Festival. One of the highlights of the Troutarama Festival is the Grand Parade with a performance by the “world famous” Scottville Clown Band.

The Troutarama is packed with even more fun including the Schmidt Amusements Carnival, Youth Fishing Derby, and an entertainment tent with live music.

Monster Pike Tournament

The annual Monster Pike Tournament is held each February and is hosted by Pere Marquette Expeditions. The Tourney is only for pike and fishermen can fish any Michigan lake. There are awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with a 100% payout for longest pike.

Western Michigan Old Engine Club Shows

The Western Michigan Old Engine Club was formed by those interested in restoring and running old gas hit and miss engines, steam engines, or other antique equipment. In 1990, the club moved to it’s permanent home inside Scottville Riverside Park. The group hosts shows throughout the year from May to October, with it’s main event taking place in August.
