Scottville 10 & 31 Celebration
Since 1957, thousands of people have annually met in Baldwin every July to enjoy themselves at the Troutarama Festival. One of the highlights of the Troutarama Festival is the Grand Parade with a performance by the “world famous” Scottville Clown Band.
The Troutarama is packed with even more fun including the Schmidt Amusements Carnival, Youth Fishing Derby, and an entertainment tent with live music.
The annual Monster Pike Tournament is held each February and is hosted by Pere Marquette Expeditions. The Tourney is only for pike and fishermen can fish any Michigan lake. There are awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with a 100% payout for longest pike.
The Western Michigan Old Engine Club was formed by those interested in restoring and running old gas hit and miss engines, steam engines, or other antique equipment. In 1990, the club moved to it’s permanent home inside Scottville Riverside Park. The group hosts shows throughout the year from May to October, with it’s main event taking place in August.
